Tajpur is a small town in the Samastipur district of Bihar in the Mithila region. It is not known for cricket academies or famous coaches. There are no floodlit nets. There is no famous cricket tradition. It is just a small town where a boy started hitting a ball at the age of four.
His father Sanjeev Sooryavanshi had been a cricketer himself. He never made it professionally but he never stopped loving the game. When he saw his son’s talent he did what cricket-loving fathers do. When Rajasthan Royals held trials in Nagpur ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction they called Vaibhav in. The coaches gave him a task: score 17 off one over. He hit three sixes.
