Pitch Report
We could not find a finished 2026 Spring Challenge game at Bankstown Oval yet, so there is no venue average from this season. Scores in the tournament so far have been low. The first innings totals in the first four games were 127, 136, 138 and 78. Spinners have got a lot of help. Thunder spinners Barsby and Bates shared 8 wickets against the Stars, and Sixers spinners Frankie Nicklin (2 for 9) and Juliette Morton (1 for 12) kept the Heat quiet too.
For fantasy, take at least two or three spin bowling options. A score of around 130 should be a good total here. With rain in the forecast, the team winning the toss may want to chase.
Weather Report
Rain is the big worry. The forecast for Bankstown on Tuesday shows a 70 percent chance of rain, with the temperature between 14 and 20 degrees Celsius. It will be cool in the evening. Overs may be cut if the rain comes, so keep an eye on the toss news.

Top Fantasy Picks
Note: each team has played only one match in this tournament so far, so the numbers below are from that one game.
Jemma Barsby (Sydney Thunder, all rounder): Took 5 wickets for 10 runs in 3 overs against the Stars. She also bats in the middle order. The best pick in this game.
Samantha Bates (Sydney Thunder, bowler): 3 wickets for 14 runs in 3 overs with her left arm spin. With spinners doing well in this tournament, she should bowl her full quota.
Tahlia Wilson (Sydney Thunder, wicketkeeper): Smashed 31 off 16 balls with 4 fours and a six while opening. She also did a stumping. Captain and keeper, so she plays all 20 overs.
Charli Knott (Brisbane Heat, all rounder): Top scorer for the Heat with 24 off 18 balls and also took 1 wicket. Bats in the top three and bowls 4 overs.
Grace Harris (Brisbane Heat, all rounder): 21 off 15 balls with 5 fours while opening. She is the Heat’s most attacking batter and can bowl a couple of overs too.
Anika Learoyd (Sydney Thunder, batter): 28 off 23 balls at the top. She also took a catch.
Lily Bassingthwaighte (Brisbane Heat, bowler): 1 wicket for 20 runs in 4 overs. The Heat’s most economical bowler in the first game.

Match Prediction
Sydney Thunder Women look the better side right now. Their bowlers bowled out the Stars for 78 and their openers finished the chase in under 10 overs. The Heat batting fell for 90 against the Sixers, and they are missing Jess Jonassen and Lucy Hamilton. We back Sydney Thunder Women to win this match, but rain could make it a shorter game where anything can happen.
