Recent Form

Perth Scorchers: They beat Melbourne Renegades by 6 wickets at Blacktown on 12 October. Renegades made 138/7 in 20 overs. Scorchers chased it down at 139/4 in 16.1 overs. Katie Mack made 43 off 34 balls and Mikayla Hinkley made 39 off 25. The bowlers shared the wickets: Chloe Ainsworth, Amy Edgar, Lilly Mills and Ebony Hoskin took one each, and there were three run outs.

Points Table

The official table on cricket.com.au is not up yet. From the results so far, Perth Scorchers have 1 win from 1 game. Adelaide Strikers have not played. Hobart Hurricanes beat ACT Meteors by 27 runs in the opening game.

ADS W vs PRS W Head To Head

Amy Edgar took 4/25 and Chloe Ainsworth took 3/22 for Scorchers in that game. Both of them are in this Scorchers squad. Most of the big names from that Strikers side are not here this time.

Pitch Report

There are no clear numbers yet for Bankstown Oval in this event. The first game here is played on the same morning. In the Scorchers game at Blacktown, 138 was not enough and Scorchers chased it with almost four overs to spare.

What it means for fantasy:

• Expect a score around 130 to 150 batting first.
• Spinners can play a big part. Wellington, Edgar, Mills and Larosa all bowl spin, so pick at least two or three spinners.
• Chasing looks the better option, more so with rain around. Captains winning the toss will likely bowl first.

Weather Report

The forecast for Sydney on Tuesday is not good. It shows 16 to 21 degrees with a 93 percent chance of rain and moderate showers. Rain breaks and a shorter game are possible. Keep an eye on the toss news and make your team late.

Probable Playing XIs

Adelaide Strikers Women: Emma de Broughe, Bridget Patterson, Madeline Penna, Eleanor Larosa, Ellie Johnston (WK), Ella Wilson, Kate Peterson, Amanda-Jade Wellington, Isabella Malgioglio, Elizabeth Worthley, Emmerson Filsell.

Note: Strikers have not played yet in this event, so this XI is built from the squad Cricket Australia named and the players who featured for South Australia in the WNCL.

Perth Scorchers Women: Katie Mack, Ines McKeon, Mikayla Hinkley, Chloe Piparo (C), Chloe Ainsworth, Ruby Strange, Lilly Mills, Alyssa Dermody (WK), Amy Edgar, Shay Manolini, Ebony Hoskin.

Final XIs come at the toss.

Top Fantasy Picks

Chloe Ainsworth (PRS, all rounder): 1/20 in 4 overs and 11 not out off 8 balls against Renegades. She took 3/22 in the last game against Strikers. She has 40 WBBL wickets at an economy under 7. Points with bat and ball.

Katie Mack (PRS, batter): Top score in the last game with 43 off 34 balls (7 fours). Opens the batting, so she gets the most balls.

Mikayla Hinkley (PRS, batter): 39 off 25 balls with 6 fours against Renegades. Bats at three and scores fast.

Amy Edgar (PRS, all rounder): 1/29 in 4 overs against Renegades. Took 4/25 against Strikers in their last meeting. Bowls all four overs, which means steady points.

Amanda-Jade Wellington (ADS, bowler): The main spinner in this Strikers side. Took 2/60 in 10 overs against a strong Victoria batting line up in the WNCL on 29 September. Strikers need her four overs in the middle of the innings.

Ruby Strange (PRS, all rounder): Bowled 3 overs and was not out in the last game. Took a five wicket haul for Western Australia against Tasmania in the WNCL this season. Good pick for small points from both sides of the game.

Match Prediction

Perth Scorchers should win this one. They have already played a game here and chased 139 with 23 balls left. Their top three are in form, and Ainsworth and Edgar did well against Strikers last time. Strikers are without Tahlia McGrath, Megan Schutt and Darcie Brown, so they have a young side with no game time in this event yet. Rain could make it a short game, and that can bring Strikers closer, but Scorchers are the side to back.
